Liu Baojun was born in 1931, who was the graduate student ,he is one of academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences.He is incumbent president of environmental science and project institute of Southwestern Communications University ,and president of association for science and technology of Sichuan Province, the member of the ninth CPPCC National Committee, population,resources and environmental committee member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC).He is the executive committee member of the international department of deposits. Once chosen the young and middle-aged expert who has made outstanding contribution for the country and enjoyed the special subsidy of government of the State Council 1986 because of his outstanding contributions in the domain of geology, obtained the scientific award of the first Li Siguang's geology in 1989, was selected as the committee member of the Department of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (academician) in 1991 ; Win geology issues of Pan guide inferior Roth's award at the 30th international geological conference 1996, it is the 20th geological expert who obtains this special honours since 100 years, is the first scientist who obtains this award in our country too.
